Sodaro Cabernet Sauvignon Napa 2010

This wine beautifully expresses the complexity and character of Cabernet Sauvignon crafted by Napa’s top winemakers in the best vintages. The bouquet offers generous ripe blackberry, currant, and baking spices. It has characteristics of dark, ripe fruit offering notes of cedar and sandalwood with a masterful balance and complex finish that features hints of cinnamon and Christmas spices. Showing well now (decant 15 minutes), it will cellar wonderfully for another 5 – 7 years.

Sodaro Winery

"Don and Deedee Sodaro founded Sodaro Estate Winery in 1998, driven by a passion for great wine and the beauty of Napa Valley. In their world-wide travels, the Sodaros were able to experience first-hand the gracious design and architecture of France and Italy and to bring some of those elements to their Napa Valley property.

The site of their Coombsville Appellation estate formerly held only a run-down house and a defunct chardonnay vineyard. The Sodaros envisioned the place it is today with its beautifully proportioned home, sweeping vineyards and an underground winery cave.

Winemakers Dawnine and Bill Dyer were enlisted early in the planning process. They designed and oversaw the construction of a winery that would be perfectly suited to the needs of the winegrowing estate. Denis Malbec and team took over winemaking in 2013. Since the first vintage the estate vineyards have provided all of the fruit in Sodaro wines, and the winery is solely dedicated to the maximum expression of that fruit. Every glass of Sodaro wine tells a story of soil, rain, sun and wind, artistry, craft and hard work." (sodarowines.com)
