Built in an opulent, monolithic style, there is a galaxy of complex aromas and flavors including dark plum, blackberry liqueur, cassis, and baking spices in the beginning. The expansive mid-palate showcases crème de cassis, blueberry, espresso bean, cocoa, with hints of spice. The finish is powerful and persistent, showing notes of mint and sage along with muscular tannins that bode well for enjoyment anytime over the next decade (thru 2025). That said, this thoroughbred is so delectable now go ahead and pop the cork and savor every sip (after decant for a half hour). Bravo!
