This classic-style Châteauneuf is supremely delicious and an ideal enhancement to a wide array of menus since it is decidedly not an over-the-top, high alcohol sledgehammer. Ripe black and blue fruits stand out on the nose, but they sit right alongside fresh violet, dried herbs, licorice, and potpourri. The complex palate includes notes of tobacco, roasted herbs, and black tea. Enjoy now (decanting recommended) through 2027 with fresh cheeses, savory sausages and roast lamb with oil-cured olives.
