We sampled this wine from the bottle once upon opening and again after leaving it open for several hours. Out of the chute, the 2019 Barbour is luxuriously rich, silky smooth and complex, exhibiting sumptuous flavors that include cassis, blackberry and espresso. Well-integrated tannins suggest huge aging potential and it delivered a gorgeous finish marked by cinnamon, nutmeg, and blackberry liqueur followed by creamy oak. A rare find + an impressive pedigree. Enjoy now (after decanting) or anytime through 2030. Bravo once again.
