Always a standout in a lineup bursting with great wines, the 2022 Cuvée Agustina is a total thrill ride. I can’t recall any Russian River Pinot Noir I’ve enjoyed more than this. The concentration is off the charts. The dark berry, plum and pomegranate flavors go so deep they seem endless. There’s a wild brambly character to the fruit that is downright sultry. The brightness and grip are in perfect proportion, never getting in the way but keeping the wine energetic and urgent. The finish takes everything I loved on the palate and keeps it going for another spellbinding 90 seconds. I am in awe. Absolute perfection.
