The brand new vintage of this classic-style Châteauneuf is supremely delicious and an ideal enhancement to a wide array of menus since it is decidedly not an over-the-top, high alcohol sledgehammer. The 2019 edition charms with a bouquet of lilacs and lavender then tantalizes the palate with ripe black and blue fruits dried herbs and potpourri. The complex finish dazzles with notes of tobacco, roasted herbs, and Darjeeling tea. The bold tannins will enhance menus featuring fresh cheeses, savory sausages and roast lamb with oil-cured olives. Decanting is strongly recommended prior to 2025 and you’ll enjoy through 2029 if cellared properly.
