One of the more cerebral Chateauneufs at this price. Dark fruit, fresh herbs and cooking spices on the nose. Medium-bodied with deep dark plum and cherry flavors up front and blood orange, vanilla and anise in the background. Pleasant earthiness that gives nice balance to the core of fruit. Should be amazing with lamb.
