Showing impeccable balance and impressive density across a cashmere-like texture, the 2013 Estate Cabernet is monumental wine, reminiscent of a few of the best ‘Cult’ Cabernets this vintage. Enchanting aromas of pipe tobacco, black currant, and sage lead to a palate that is still tightly wound, but showing ample dark fruit, baking chocolate, graphite and hints of olive tapenade on the seductive finish. There is serious aging potential here, so decant for an hour if enjoying tonight, but feel free to cellar for two decades or more!
