The brand new 2021 Fontodi Flaccianello lives up to expectations for this universally acclaimed vintage! Today, it is a tightly wound treasure that promises grandeur over the next decade (+ decant prior to 2028). Reminiscent of the 2016 vintage (100 points) this is a sublime wine, with a cool menthol nose balanced with luscious red cherries and deep dark chocolate. With a mouth coating, silky texture, loads of ultra-bold and firm tannins lead to a several minute finish. Delicious with a hearty decant now, but will age seamlessly through 2035.
