Eisele Altagracia Cabernet 2014

The 2014 Altagracia is another velvety smooth blockbuster, perpetuating its reputation as one of Napa’s finest ‘Super Seconds’ in the fashion of the estate bottling (last vintage 100 points – Robert Parker) but more approachable over the next decade. This vintage is beautifully balanced with complex notes of viscous black fruit, figs, roasted espresso beans, and hints of herbs (sage, fennel) with pipe tobacco on the delightfully satisfying finish. This majestic new release evolves on the palate to include an amalgam of dark fruit, fig, vanilla bean, and creamy new oak. This is a dazzling wine right now and has illustrious aging potential. Decant for an hour if enjoying tonight and cellar through 2018.
