Bure Chardonnay Malena Ritchie Vineyard 2017

This is California boutique Chardonnay at its best! With just a few years of cellar time, the 2017 Bure Family Ritchie is now even more ultra-rich and opulent, yet gloriously refreshing with dazzling bright fruit. Flamboyant notes of butterscotch and Hawaiian macadamia nuts come alive on the palate intertwined with notes of fresh peaches, vanilla, minerals, lemon oil, and honeysuckle on the pristine finish that is still relatively restrained as of this writing. The result is a powerhouse effort that combines the age-ability of a noteworthy “grand cru” Burgundy with the full throttle Russian River fruit California collectors will adore. Aging potential for 5-7 years, peaking around 2025 in our estimate. 98 points now and contender for 99 in the next few years. – February 2021

Bure Family Wines Winery

After more than a decade of playing professional hockey, two Olympic Games, and
travels around the world; Val Bure’s interest in food and wine has evolved into his life's
next great passion.

It was while playing for the Montreal Canadiens that he was first introduced to the
nuances of great wines by some of the veterans on the team. What started with a few
bottles in a small wine fridge quickly grew. As he collected bottles during travels across
North America and throughout the world, his cellar began to grow along with a dream to
one day make his own wine.

This release of Bure Family Wines marks the culmination of years of effort, passion, and
a desire to produce small lot handcrafted wines.
