RAEN Pinot Noir Freestone Occidental Bodega Sonoma Coast 2014

There are pure dark cherries, red plum and boysenberry fruit here, infused with elegance and that sense of aristocracy one seeks in the finest Pinots on the planet. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, wonderful acidity and gloriously integrated oak thanks to ultra-rare barrels normally only available to Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC). High tone notes of red berry fruit, orange peel, oolong tea, and truffles, all detailed and intense. There is great poise here, power hand in hand with finesse and a supremely enjoyable, age-worthy Pinot Noir guaranteed to impress now (decanting recommended) through 2025.
